An intravenous blood sample is needed for Arthritis Profile.
Arthritis is a disease or condition characterised by inflammation of one joint (monoarthritis) or more joints (oligoarthritis or polyarthritis). It can affect any joint in the body but mostly affects weight-bearing joints, such as the spine, knee and hip joint.
8 to 10 hours of fasting is recommended for Arthritis Profile. Fasting for a test/profile means not eating or drinking anything, except plain water, at least 10-12 hours before the test.
You can avail Arthritis Profile from Thyrocare by visiting our collection centre nearest to you. You can locate our centre on Google Maps. You can also get tested from the comfort of your home by choosing our free home sample collection services while booking the test.
You may experience a stinging sensation while the needle pierces your skin to draw blood. On rare occasions, the site of blood collection may become itchy or turn reddish. But these effects subside quickly.
